We went to mass at Ngarenaro Parish in the city. The mass was in English. The church was very nice. Here are some photos:
For lunch we went to the home of a very close friend of the Mshomba family, Mama Charo. A feast was made for us: sambusas (meat stuffed pastries), fruit, rice, pasta, and chai tea (the best I have ever had). It was an amazing meal.
After such a tasty meal we went back to the Spiritan House. The group decided to take a walk into the city. It is very different from center city Philadelphia. People will come up to you and start talking to you (they are really trying to sell you something, like a banana leaf painting). They mean no harm, but it is just different and at first feels overwhelming. We got used to it though. Anyway, after our walk we returned to the Spiritan house for dinner.
